3Q PC and Mobile Sales
According to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker, worldwide PC shipments were up 15.8% year over year, which was slightly less than projected. Strong results in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) helped offset tepid growth in other emerging regions, while the U.S. and Japan held steady.

Twenty years ago, every one was shouting that the home computer revolution
would save twenty man hours per week for every person. Computers were going to bring greater wealth to each family and improve
the family unit by cutting down the workweek. The only reason I remember this false declaration is because I have been patiently waiting for this to happen
and guess what? It hasn’t.
Nope. I’m Just getting older and busier with the gizmo’s and gadgets that are being created each day, in fact , it’s overwhelming! I can’t hardly keep
up anymore. I get addicted to CNET reviews, blog feeds on coming technologies and learning the in’s and out’s of latest technological advances.
I must say though, with all the busyness and the buzz, I am having a lot more fun. Every now and then you find a real Jewel, a diamond in the rough, something
you know is going to explode and you get to be one of the first to drop the jaws of the people in the circles you run with.
My latest experience with this was with a product called DTV4PC at Television4pc.com. As a techy, whenever I come across an acronym I’m unfamiliar with,
it immediately spikes my interest and the Hunt is on!
As it would turn out, DTV4PC didn’t cut 20 hrs off my work week but it did cut my cost of living. At home DTV4PC is saving me almost a $1000 a year. No joke… a thousand dollars a year, just think about how much you pay in cable or satellite bills every year. My savings continue by using this product in my job related travels as well.
So, what is DTV4PC? DTV4PC at Television4pc.com is a product that was developed to deliver 1000’s of television channels to your
personal PC through just an internet connection and a simple software installation that is instantly downloadable.
Sounds expensive doesn’t it?
Believe it or not, at $29.99 DTV4PC most likely will be the cheapest television bill you have seen in a long time. Also, the genuine folks at
DTV4PC don’t bill you monthly, they bill you ONCE! That’s right, you heard it correctly, just one time.
Now, before you whip out the calculator to figure what you will save each month or year compared to your current monthly cable and or satellite package, let me
tell you where else you can save.
The amazing thing about DTV4PC is that it is PC based all you need is an internet connection, so wherever your laptop goes so does your programming. My mobile
cell card allows me to have an internet connection wherever I go, but I can also jump on wirless hotspots as well.
With all the traveling I do, it’s nice to have access to just about any programming I want straight from my mobile computer. It sure beats those expensive hotel movies.
Also, when at home I can catch up with my favorite television episodes during my 50 mile morning and evening bus commute to and from work.
This allows me to spend more time with the family at home without fretting about what’s happening on with LOST or HERO’s, two of my favorite television programs.
So it looks like the old prophecy but just a little off. Technology isn’t saving me twenty hours off my fourty hour work week, but it is saving me time and money so
that the family and I can do more together like go on vacation once in awhile. Plus, it has allowed me to keep up on my dose of weekly entertainment without sacrificing
the important things in life when I get home (the wife and kids). Hats off DTV4PC for creating a superior product and making it available to all of us at an unbelievable price. You owe it to yourself, to check it out at Television4pc.com!

No commentsVerizon prices Motorola ZN4 Krave at $149.99
Filed under: Cellphones
For those of you who firmly believe that Verizon plus Motorola plus touchscreen equals pure, unadulterated bliss, heads up: we have a bit of information that might be of interest to you. phoneArena has scored a screen shot of what appears to be some promotional material for Moto’s upcoming MING-esque doohickey, the ZN4 Krave — and it looks like we’ll be shelling out about $150 on a two-year contract for the honor of carrying one in our knockoff Louis Vuitton backpacks. Not a bad price for a phone clearly designed to rest toward the upper end of Verizon’s non-smartphone lineup, we suppose, and we’ll admit that it’s looking better in this dolled-up promo shot than it was last time we saw it. Separately, they’ve landed pricing for the Moto VU204, a basic flip that’s probably not going to turn as many heads as the Krave; that one is going to go out the door for $29, and you’ll get three free with the purchase of the first for the ultimate four-pack of mediocrity. We don’t have a solid line on when these are coming to market, but the Krave’s still a possibility for this month.
