The highly rated BBC live internet TV service ‘iPlayer’ has had a HD makeover. Now arguably the best online TV service is available in sensational high definition initialise.

Improved video select
The accepted definition (SD), 1500Kbps stream has had the quality improved to one thats “pretty close to TV quality” said Rose, “as good as most Freeview channels”. The standard quality on standard viewing has been increased from 500Kbps to 800Kbps. Previously this quality was only available as a HQ (high quality) option.

Adaptive Bitrate
 Rose says the service will lower video quality in suffice to changes in vane speed while streaming and eventually the iPlayer will then be able to increase or decrease quality during the same programme if bandwidth increases.
 
iPlayer on your TV
Any security guard that has Windows Media Extender enabled television can download iPlayer programmes and watch them on the big Covert.
Larger viewing screen
After viewer suggestions and complaints, the iPlayer viewing screen is now resizable and nicer to view.

 Silicon Alley has reported that the iPod touch and iPhone will soon have a consecrate Hulu application big access to Hulu streaming videos. Hulu’s new app will be released via the iTunes app computer storage. It will operate via WiFi or 3G networks
 

Hulu has already grabbed a large slicing of the internet tv market thanks to its website filled with top tv shows and movies, but are ease not making money using PC streams. With the iPhone application, Hulu could be in front of a new audience. Attracting more advertisers to the new nomadic tv sector.
However there could be problems with a new iPhone Hulu app. AT&T may not take charitable to video streams using their data network.  No firm date has been set for release of the app, the new iPhone OS 3.0 update will however allow developers to move on streaming media into their applications. And this may be when a release date coincides.
